Thistle & Timber – Payment Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Quotation

Acceptance of any quotation, estimate, service agreement, or booking confirms that the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Payment Terms

Small Projects and Maintenance Services

For all projects, maintenance visits, and services with a total value of less than £1,000, full payment is required in advance to secure the booking and scheduled work date.

Work will not commence until payment has been received in cleared funds.

Larger Projects

For projects exceeding £1,000, a deposit may be required prior to commencement. Remaining balances will be invoiced in accordance with the agreed payment schedule detailed within the quotation.

3. Booking Confirmation

A booking is not confirmed until:

• The quotation has been accepted.
• Any required payment or deposit has been received.
• A commencement date has been agreed.

4. Cancellations

Client Cancellation

If a booking is cancelled:

• More than 7 days before the scheduled work date: a full refund will be provided.
• Between 48 hours and 7 days before the scheduled work date: Thistle & Timber reserves the right to retain up to 25% of the booking value to cover administration and scheduling costs.
• Less than 48 hours before the scheduled work date: no refund may be provided.

Company Cancellation

Should Thistle & Timber be unable to carry out the scheduled work, the client will be offered either a full refund or an alternative date.

5. Access and Site Conditions

The client is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area. Any delays or additional costs arising from restricted access, undisclosed obstacles, or changes to site conditions may incur additional charges.

6. Variations and Additional Works

Any works requested outside the original scope of the quotation may be subject to additional charges. No additional work will be undertaken without client approval.

7. Weather Conditions

Certain landscaping and maintenance activities are weather dependent. Thistle & Timber reserves the right to reschedule work where weather conditions may compromise safety, workmanship, or project quality.

8. Materials

Where materials are supplied by Thistle & Timber, ownership remains with Thistle & Timber until full payment has been received.

9. Liability

Thistle & Timber maintains appropriate public liability insurance. Liability is limited to the value of the services provided unless otherwise required by law.

10. Complaints

Any concerns regarding completed work must be raised within 7 days of completion, allowing an opportunity for inspection and resolution.

By accepting a quotation, booking a service, or making payment, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
